Call to action urges Halifax residents to oppose Forum spending and tax pressures

Numbers don’t vote. People do. And Council needs to be reminded of that – loudly.

Right now, a $126 million Halifax Forum rebuild is being treated like a feel-good project inside City Hall. But outside those walls, people are cutting back, stretching every dollar, and wondering how much more they’re expected to carry.

We need to remind Council how disconnected they are from the issues we face every day. We’re asking that you share the campaign with you network on Facebook today. Tell your friends why it’s important that they join our campaign to help stop the madness at City Hall. A $126 million replica of a demolished building is the wrong priority for Halifax.

This will be a busy weekend – and it needs to be. Because if we don’t speak up now, this moves forward quietly, and we’re left paying for it for years to come. Click on the link provided above to call your councillor now!

Council may be looking at spreadsheets, but we’re going to make sure they see the people behind the numbers.
