Call to Action Advocacy Fund

The Call-to-Action Advocacy Fund (CTAAF) is an audited opt-in member-funded fund with the sole purpose of supporting RHPNS advocacy programs and research to counter external events negatively impacting residential investment property owners’ investments.

Financial support is critical for RHPNS’ ability to mount effective robust strategies to counter misinformation campaigns and ensure government decision-makers hear industry concerns.

100% of every CTAAF dollar collected is for advocacy and research. No CTAAF funds collected go into paying RHPNS operating costs. Amendments to government legislation or policy provides an immediate payback.

Members Cost to Participate?

The contribution amount is scaled to a members’ size for fairness, contributing .5% of a portfolio’s median security deposit collected.

Why .5% of Security Deposit?

RHPNS 2012 lobbying efforts resulted in an RTA amendment resulting in landlords no longer paying tenants 1% of interest earned on a security deposit. Basing the funding formula is a reasonable request to annually fund the CTAAF.
