Halifax Council Seeks Region-Wide Reform Following Mayor’s Expense Audit
Halifax Regional Council is seeking broader reforms to municipal expense policies following an audit of Mayor Andy Fillmore’s expenses. Rather than limiting its response to the Mayor’s Office, Council has directed that a region-wide approach be developed to strengthen oversight, accountability and consistency around spending by elected officials.
