HRM launches community engagement for first housing strategy
The Halifax Regional Municipality has opened public consultation for its first‐ever Housing Strategy, inviting residents and community partners to complete a survey by November 30. The strategy will define HRM’s role in housing, assess existing affordable-housing programs, and set a framework aligned with federal and provincial investments. Adoption by Regional Council is scheduled for fall 2026.
