Spring Legislative Session Adjourned
The Nova Scotia Spring legislative session concluded Thursday with no amendments to the Residential Tenancies Act regulations or program policies impacting rental housing. During the session, the NDP raised concerns regarding the enforcement of Residential Tenancies (RTO) orders, with further details outlined in Hansard: Truro Heights Rental Concerns.
RHPNS has been invited and has accepted an invitation to appear before the Standing Committee on Community Services on June 2 to discuss “Tenant Rights Under the Residential Tenancies Act.”
RHPNS will continue to actively monitor government announcements and take action where required. Members will be kept informed.
